My guess would be because most of the founding fathers were Masons (no I can't prove that but heard it on TV this week. Surely they would not lie to me ). I have no idea when that symbol first appeared on the dollar bill or for that matter when the first paper dollar appeared in US currency.
Im not sure if your being sarcastic/ironic or w/e but, what other "thing" has a: 13 Step Pyramid (the Empire of Egypt), with the chopped of top. The all seeing eye in a Masonic triangle around in Sunlight. And written in latin "Novus Ordo Seclorum" which means a New World Order. Novus Ordo Seculorum doesn't mean "new world order", Even a minimal amount of research on your own part would have revealed this. it means "new order of the ages" and it's a perfectly reasonable motto to have on the money of a newly formed nation. How can we take this flimsy conspiracy theory seriously when you have already proven that you are willing and able to regurgitate misinformation that you have read without doing even the minimal amount of research yourself?

A pyramid has been a symbol of importance for centuries. Like i said, the masons wouldn't have a monopoly on it. This is ignoring the fact that the Freemasons have repeatedly stated that an eye above a pyramid is not now and has never been a symbols of the masons. But hey, Don't let the facts get in the way of you spreading misinformation. They do use triangles, But they don;t have a monopoly on triangles either and a triangle is not a pyramid. No it isn't. The seal was not designed by Masons, Franklin was the only mason on the great seal committees and his ideas were not adopted into the seal. Stop listening to Alex Jones, man. No it is entirely different. New World Order would have had no "conspiratoral" meaning in the 1800s or whenever. Why would it have been disguised as novus ordo seclorum? It signifies the founding of the country and the declaration of independence.

What does Satanism have to do with Freemasons? Anyway, Freemasonry was extremely powerful in the 17th to the 19th century. Now I'm not sure about US, but my country's history (Romania) has been effectively written by them. The 1821 uprising against the Ottoman Empire, the European revolution movement of 1848 and the declaration of independence in 1969 were all done by them. This is historical fact as in written in the history manual sort of fact. As for the modern Freemasonry I simply don't have enough information to draw any conclusions, so instead of speculating it makes sense to occupy myself with something more productive instead.
