    Hi Guys,

not sure if this is the right place for this, but as I have only just opened my account i cannot post on most of the other fourms.

I've been reading DP for many years now and I've had user accounts in the past, but as they are associated to the companies i use to work i can't use them.

After a few years of working in digital agencies i would like to venture into the SEO/PPC freelance market. Can you guys advise on how and where to start?

I cannot find a recruitment agency that puts in touch clients and freelancers. I've seen Peopleperhour.com and Ifreelance.

What is the best route to choose? Right now i'm an SEO Manager for a leading agency in London, looking for more flexible working hours.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Have you considered checking out rentacoder.com and elance.com for freelancing? Not sure if you've heard of the sites before or not. Couple more resource. Rentacoder is free to use but they check a bigger percentage out of your paycheck. Elance takes out less but charges a monthly fee. You can get higher pay with elance.com.

My advice is to not waste your time with the freelance boards because they are filled with overseas workers that are happy making $5/hour so it's hard to compete.

Set up your own website, market the hell out of it, post your services in classifieds, get high rankings in search engines, advertise in the proper places and get customers to come to you. If you're serious about long term success then there's no other way to do it
