Saw the below report in ripoffreport.com. My heart beats for this poor lady. Wish we could do something for her. Any suggestions?? profwrit
Mine doesn't, after reading this - She voided the protection measures for few dollars. It's her own greed that scammed her. Yeah. Tell her, its a lesson learned the hard way, next time she should stick to the rules and regulations. They are there to protect everyone's interest.
How do you know that the "pregnant woman" isn't the scammer and is simply trying to scam for help from those good natured suckers out there? She mentioned that she's "hurting" for money. That set off all my alarm bells.
I've twice been scammed on freelancer.com, first by a person who wanted his server managed. I won the project to manage his server for $400 a month. But after a month, he didn't pay me, so I have to ask him by email and skype to pay. He refused, stating that I did not do my job fully a month. You know what, he did not online for the last 2 weeks, never told me to setup his domains on the server as usual, in the mean time, I backup his server, rsync-ing his data, optimizing his mysql and apache performance, etc. He only paid me $100 until now, the second month. I then asked the second payment, but he still refused and asked me for root login. I did not give it yet, not until he paid me. The second, after winning a project, the employer suddenly cancel his project, that cost me 10% of the bid value! Freelancer.com cannot protect us as freelancer, that's why we have to ask 10% milestone to every employers when bidding. Darn!
RIght, Freelancer is way tooo selfish to gain monetraily other than as u say protecting our interests. Also, the reviews sometimes are misleading. You can give a review once you complete the project. But then how do u give a feedback for someone who has cheated you. You will never get a chance to ! Maybe like FB we can perhaps be allowed to report a profile to GAF if u get cheated. Probably repeated REPORTS might tell GAF to warn freelancers against these guys. As of now, there is absolutely no way to protect oursevles from scammers. My heart beats to you though! think of someway to avenge him!!
hmm , honesty has been an important class for everyone . but we know online there are so many traps !
I fucking hate scammers... just yesterday I was scammed by a member of the warrior forum. He PM'd me promising better conversion on my WSO and if it didn't work he'd give my money back. So i did research on him and he seemed a little reputable so I went along with the deal. The conversions didn't come in and I asked for my money back and he said "we're marketers, this is not how we do business." In other words he said hell no. But I've got something for him.
It's her own fault that she prefered to breack rules Hope Lesson Is Learned And that's what you get for trusting a buyer from a country like this one .... i never work for such people no matter how good there paying ... So the poor laddy is stupid and deserve it ...
