    Hi,
Should we outsource our articles to a freelance writer or to an article writing firm? Who will produce quality articles?

I think you're looking at the problem in the wrong way.

The main factor that should motivate your decision is the quality of the samples. After that it's also a good idea to check what past customers have to say.

There is only one exception to the piece of advice above. More exactly, if you need a large volume of content in a relatively short time frame, it's probably a good idea to deal with a company.

    Best regards,
    George

Neither option guarantees a quality product.

If you explained a bit more about your project, we could give you better advice. As has already been said, if you need a large quantity of pieces, you might need a company or more than one freelancer.

Whichever way you go, I would strongly urge you to contract for a handful of articles before making a long-term commitment to anyone. That way you can determine the quality of their writing as well as whether or not you can work well together before making a major commitment.

One of the benefits of dealing with an individual freelance writer is that you can build up a relationship over time. You know what you will be getting, and you know the "voice" of the writer. But what if that writer gets sick, or goes on holiday, or can't cope with the volume of content that you need?

When you're dealing with a company, the service may (or may not) be less personal, but you don't have to worry so much about depending on just one person.

    Just some food for thought.
