Hey, I just got a quick question, and no, I am not a noob.

This is for the experienced writers. How you guys get so many jobs? I get about 1 to 2 jobs a day, and I want more. I've tried going to those sites like get a freelancer and such, but nobody ever wants my services.

I'm just curious, thanks for the input.

You need to build good reputation at freelance site in order to get more jobs and at good rates.

How many feedbacks do you have at getafreelancer?

You should also make your own blog and updated with content, add a few ads. This way you have a steady income on the side, and something to show as a portfolio.

I used to want to be a writer and often had this same question. I'm now in a position where I could potentially be looking for freelancers, are there any other sites besides getafreelancer that I should look at?

Agreed. Also, learning how to market yourself to potential customers is quite important. You have to get your name out there and let it be known that you produce quality content. If you do that, attracting business will be easy.

I suggest you start to offer your services at a low fee to attract business and build your reputation as well, gradually you will increase your fee to what obtains in the field.

Correct! I suggest focusing on a few niches. In addition, I would focus on quality and not quantity.

    Some good suggestions here.

Also I would think because you speak and write English you would have
an advantage over other freelancers because many writers I've come in
contact with on those sites are from other countries who don't fully
understand English and have trouble writing or re writing articles well.

    Just my thoughts.

Also I left you a comment on your other thread about your writing prices.
