GAF, is a good website to start with.
Offer some low rate at first, and once you have clients, and increase it day by day.

But first you have to offer lowest to be in the RING.

others are guru.com, rentacoder.com, scriptlance.com.... all of them are good. I own business account on all these website and earning handsome out there.

Another resource is forums. People are also hiring some help from forums such as DP, SitePoint, WebHostingTalk and TalkFreelance.

    All the best!

You should check out Remote Gurus in my sig, but I also recommend GetAFreelancer, ScriptLance, and ELance. Freelance websites are highly competitive, having a high number of positive reviews is what you should work for. Work for reviews and the money will follow (and be good at what you do).

Freelancer websites are very competitive. I think the most important thing is to have a solid portfolio of work because there will always be someone willing to do it cheaper. You have to be able to do it better.

It takes a while to break in and earn some good review. I suggest that you get a free blog from Blogger or wordpress and post some of your good writing samples there and include the link in your resume. This will make you seem more efficient and serious. Good luck
