    Hello.

I have been asked whether I can optimise the following site:

    http://www.kindershoe.com

This would include, keyword research, edits and changes to the website, onsite optimisation including production of new content and web dev and offsite including link building campaigns etc...

Since it would obviously be a long process how much would you charge for this? A one off payment for an agreed amount of work and then more each time work needs to be done or on a monthly basis??

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah i guess it would, sorry. The thing is they have designed it themselves and are proud of it so i will obviously tell them that spiders and google do not like flash and also alot of their headers are currently images so all this will need to be changed to css.

    Currently jobs that need doing:

keyword research, once chosen keywrds, a ppc campaign and start of link building process, im going to have to go through the whole of the site and add headers, meta tags, description tags, alt tags, keyword and re-asses the internal linking structure. More content is a must so this will have to be done as well as producing and submitting articles. This is just the strat but i just want to know how much you would charge and on what basis, eg, one off then a contract to do x amount of hours monthly?

    thanks :D

Splash screen needs to go, obviously.

I'd probably charge between £80 and £200 for work like this.

I would do what you said:
Charge a flat fee for the re-design/ re-coding. And as to how much, that is up to you. Is this a favor or a professional gig? Do they have tons of money to spend on something like this? I guessing that since this is one of your first jobs like this, you most likely found this job through a friend or something like that, which is cool. Doing a good job for them and getting good word of mouth never hurt, so charging a little less than what a professional firm would is not a big deal.

Caveman's estimate seems about right. Just don't forget to estimate how much time it will take you to complete the job. If you think it will take you 20 hrs, then what caveman said would get you like £4-10 an hour.

Then do the same thing for the rest of the updates. If you think it will take 5-10 hrs. a week, then just charge them roughly the same amount that you did per hour for the initial design.

Hope that helps, best of luck :D
