Hello everyone, I am creating a new freelance programming website. Currently, I am trying to decide the best keywords to use. So far, I have the following: freelance programming, custom software development, custom web design, outsource projects, freelancing, freelancers, programmers, web designers, freelance work, outsource work, freelance programmer, database programmer, contract programming, SEO, search engine optimization, c, c++, vb, vb .net, .net, cgi, perl, flash, xml, graphics, logo design Does anybody have any suggestions? Do you think this is too many keywords? Any assistance in keyword selection will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sincerely, Travis Walters
If you put them all in a title tag of course it's too many. If you build one page for each keyword then, it's too few. Well, I don't see: PHP, MySQL, C#, Cold Fusion, Delphi, Kylix, JSP, ASP, ASP.Net Hope it helps.
Hey there, I was not going to put them in the title tag I was talking about the keyword meta tag. I heard it was best to only have 10 keywords or less. This type of site covers a really broad area though. Any other suggestions are welcome. Sincerely, Travis Walters
Hey there, I guess I could try to use about 10 keywords / page. I could have around 30 keywords for the site overall. But I should probably use 3 or 4 keywords on every page. That would probably be better than using them all in the keyword tag on every page. Sincerely, Travis Walters
Travis, You've got it. Since you can subdivide your topics pretty well, maybe try to page separate pages for each topic (or least a few) and optimize them separately with keywords/content, etc. Maybe you already are doing this? Nice to see another "Merlin-der"
yes... try to have at least 10 major keyword and minor... try to search the keywords search result per day and get the highest number of search per day... try also to compare your keywords to your competitor site...
