If you would enjoy writing about and discussing the following topics please read the offers detailed below and PM me with your interest, don't post it here in the thread. All of the topics are open and I have no requirements other than the writings be interesting. PM me your rate per piece (not per word) that you can create these at and I'll let you know. I pay via PayPal upon delivery. CONTRIBUTING BLOGGER OFFER: I'm putting a team of bloggers together for a project focusing on these interesting topics above. I am a big fan of "the better you do, the more you make" model for online content production. So, I'm offering contributing blog authors 2 choices for compensation that each increase how much can be earned based on the quality of the author's content and their level of participation. Contributing Bloggers can select to either: - Earn $3 per 1000 unique page impressions their postings accumulate, paid monthly via PayPal ($4 per 1000 once they have 25 published posts) or - Have your own contextual advertising code (AdSense or YPN) displayed on your post pages for 100% of the contextual ad revenue your postings generate. No percentage rotations, your ad code will receive 100% of the contextual advertising displays on your post pages. Your earnings will be paid to you directly from the contextual advertising platform (Google or Yahoo!) you use. There are several reasons why I prefer this formula over a straight pay bloggers for postings model, but the most important is that I build the blogs that I do because I want to build communities around the topics that are fun and exciting for visitors. I want authors who will engage and interact with their readers, and there's little incentive to do that when the author earns a flat rate for their content. However, when the author can earn more money for their time and efforts there is an increased motivation to nurture and build their readership following. Ultimately that's better for the visitors, the author(s) and for the overall blog. PM me if you're interested in becoming a Contributing Blogger on this project. Thanks
Quick question: When you say 'Earn $3 per 1000 unique page impressions their postings accumulate', is it 1000 impressions on the site or for the posts that the blogger uploads? Like, if the site gets 1000 impressions, will each blogger get $3? Or is it like person A's posts get 1000 impressions, they get $3.
Hello thank you for offering this opportunity to us. I would like to write as a freelancer providing you with short articles of about 150-200 words as you mentioned above. The topics mentioned are very intriguing and i would just love to share my knowledge on the subject, contents would be 111% unique and very captivating. My offering to you is $2/piece. Anyway, if you are interested PM me the details and i will get in touch with you soon enough.
pickagun, it's $3 (or $4 once a writer has 25 published posts) per 1000 unique page impressions/views of the writer's postings, not page views from the entire site. So, if person A has 10 postings that accumulate 4,000 unique page views in a month while person B has 25 postings that accumulate 10,000 views that same month then person A would earn $12 and person B would earn $40 for the month. You earn based on the views of your own postings. Also, since someone mentioned that I may be offering low rates to bloggers all I can say about that is these rates were setup by me and several writers on a previous collaborative blog we were starting, and we based them on what someone with a new site could reasonably expect to earn in CPM (per 1000 impressions) from an ad network. We looked at a bunch of ad networks and found the ones that were easiest to get into were paying out between $1 and $2.50 CPM. The ones that were a little more strict but still fairly easy to get accepted with seemed to generally be paying up to about $3.50 CPM. We didn't look at the more exclusive networks because they don't accept brand new sites anyway. I took the higher number from that of $3.50 CPM, and decided upon the $3 rate until a writer has 25 posts, and then $4 from that point on because I feel $3 is competitive, and the increase at 25 publishings is incentive to be active. But overall, when compared to those CPM rates at ad networks I am offering a guaranteed rate at or above what someone with a new site would expect to get paid for page views. And really, the best way to do better than CPM is to select the 100% contextual advertising revenue option. It comes with higher risk because click-thrus and price per click rates aren't guaranteed, but that's why I offer the 100% display rate to writers on their posting pages and believe it holds the highest value. The additional upside is that with either of these options, your writings would continue earning revenue month after month rather than as one-off sales of the pieces. And of course the biggest upside is that as a Contributing Blogger you'd also be able to plug your private blog(s) or site(s) as well, so you'd not only benefit from having a team of bloggers working on the site to help it grow fast, but each writer can pull readers from the others and hopefully leverage some of them to your personal projects too. Oh, and you get to write about UFO's, ghosts and Bigfoot if you want
The page view earnings offered here are VERY generous. Associated Content only pays $1.50 for every 1000 page views!
coco0437, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but to be fair AC operates a slightly different model than I'm proposing which has different needs, so it's not really a fair comparison. I'm a big fan of AC, I'm not connected with it at all, but I think they offer a valuable service and platform online, especially for writers. With the rates I'm offering there's also more than just writing posts involved to see great returns. The folks who can benefit most will be able to write engaging content that spawns comments or causes other blogs to talk about your posts and link to them. Basically, it's not just being able to write a good piece, that will do okay for you, but if you can start conversations that's what will lead to the higher numbers and money. With AC a writer can make decent returns by just submitting articles without any follow up time spent at all, but with what I'm offering it'll pay off better to follow up by responding to reader comments and so on. So authors are certainly earning the rates I'm offering.
