Ok getting a lot of applicants for this, so need to add some more info. First check out: http://snipurl.com/46tnn That's the initial brief. If you really want to secure this job then please take a look at the brief, tell us how you would fix the logo issue (1 of the 3 issues) and that'll demonstrate you know what you're talking about. We're keen to get moving asap. Thanks
Well its kinda tricky for a coder to detect errors based on a picture and not by being able to see actually the code itself. However as far as it regards the logo, as you have explained in the image .. it isn't actually a bug, simply the logo has padding (or possibly) margin on the left site to be positioned and when the logo is being clicked that "sort" of border is being showed. Aside that I see you have addressed some questions that regard web design rather then simply HTML (or possible CSS) interventions. But lets go one by one 1). The search box can be fixed quiet easy (if it has top margin, just kill that to a lower number, or increase the bottom margin/padding of the search container). 2). Its the logo thingie, explained above. 3). - a). A rounded corner could fit there, perhaps then you might consider to get the other side of the header with rounded corner and even the footer. - b). Shades on buttons might bring difficulties, not the corner buttons but those on the middles yes as it will overlap the other buttons, however a darker color might be an idea even tho personally I have nothing against the color or the buttons as they are. - c). A dark red background might make the search box more obvious and outstanding for the visitors. - d). With the PSD in hand even the icons can be increased. - e). Hope thats not the google adsense box you are asking for but rather a background that I can't actually see in the image, however a repeated image can autofill an empty space. If you have questions, or would like to discuss this project more indepth, drop me a PM please. Hope this helped.
1. Change the #search fieldset 's CSS rule. Instead of padding:10px 7px 0; use just this padding: 7px; 2. Most probably this is because of the text-indent:-9999px; of H1 tag you are using for your Logo for SEO purposes. To prevent the outline from appearing you can use this CSS rule in h1 a {} outline: none; 3. d. The icon can be changed via the #secondaryContent h3 's border: property. 3. e. For making the dark blue background stretch to fill the vertical space, In the #secondaryContentAdvert CSS rules, kill the padding: property and add height: 100%; Let me know via PM if you are interested in hiring me
