Freelance content writing

    Hi all,

A while back I was writing content for a website "expatrockstar", and I was on a nice little earner $25 an article. Unfortunately for me and a few other writers, the owner decided not to continue the site for reasons unbeknown. We were also left to guess as to it's fate.

I'd like to start writing content again. I'm looking for a place where I can submit articles. Lets say.. 300-500 words and get paid for doing so. I have signed up with triond and I'm also looking into signing up with AC.

Can anyone suggest anywhere else as to where I might be able to ply my trade?

    Thanks in advance guys,

    Johnny.:)

I can suggest that you offer you services to other DP members. Of course you not going to be making $25 per article. Most of the writers here charge between $0.01 and $0.05 per word. There are some that are even cheaper than that. The thing to remember is to price your service so you can compete and still make enough money to make it worth your time.

I'm trying elance.com currently, creating a profile and seeing what types of freelance jobs pop up on the site. However, looks like they have quite a few Providers already, over 100,000...though many of them are technical in nature (compared to writing), such as programmers or web designers.

You should search websites that allow you to sell your own articles like DP but at higher rates, unless if you don't mind the competition of the lower rates. You might even cause a positive spin with rates if you charge higher :) Sometimes you really do get what you pay for!

Oh and if you go to eHow, make sure that you read and follow their guidelines really close.
