I'm trying to clear out a few sites and domains again that I just don't have time for. I'd appreciate it if you could give me an appraisal on the following site: www.FreeDeepLinks.com. Assume no income. It used to do OK with Adsense, but I haven't updated the site in ages, and there's no current income. Despite the lack of income, I'm not going to let go of this one very cheaply, because frankly most of the value is in the domain - perfect for a deep link-only directory or a paid directory offering free deep links with a primary listing. It's currently PR2. To the best of my knowledge, this directory was the first of its kind. It's a deep link article directory, categorizing articles around the Web. Over 3500 listings. There are likely a lot of listings waiting to be approved or rejected, as I haven't logged in in quite some time. I'll be taking time to clear that out if I sell to someone who wants to resume the site as-is (as opposed to someone just wanting the domain, in which case I'll simply kill the content). I'd appreciate your thoughts before I list it later today or tomorrow. EDIT Sorry... I forgot to mention the traffic stats. These are the stats for the last three months with no promotion, and few, if any, links approved to be added to the site) - so it's been sitting pretty stationary. December - 1412 uniques / 10,059 pageviews January - 1804 uniques / 16,138 pageviews February - 1891 uniques / 23, 805 pageviews As you can see, the traffic is actually going up despite the site being neglected. wow nice site! I would say mid $$$ but it all depends on how much monetization you have done to it... Revenue stats? Dan
Like I already said, assume no revenue. The value is in the domain name and the traffic it already has. When I left it alone, revenue dropped off to nothing (like a dollar or two each month). When I used to target visitors looking for articles, it did OK with Adsense for example - like Halloween article keywords doing well I remember. If you don't push for that audience, you just get people submitting, and not much ad revenue. I think there's only one paid "featured listing." The rest are my sites or articles I listed while working with a content network to help some writers out. So they can all be deleted. I'll refund the paid featured listing from the site sale amount if the end buyer doesn't keep the directory as a whole ($24.99 for permanent links is how it's set up at the moment).
