The uk version seems to be running well, although I seem to have cocked up upgrading andhad to run a fresh install, so not yet formatted the includes etc to my pretty colors! Any how I will be setting up 5 bookstores, and my friend will also be setting up 5 - everyone should have a store to compliment thier sites!!! imo. Go noppid!! thx!!
Sorry about the upgrade. Is there something that we can change to make it smoother? Gald to here ya got it going though! Thanks for the feedback.
I'm going to try to find the time to set this up properly and customize/tweak it this weekend... one thing (may already be answered in your forum, noppid) I'd want to do is organize the list by author rather than by title... I assume this wouldn't be difficult.
I'm almost certain without looking that is a query mod. I do have logic in there to sort books without the begining "a" and "the" included. For the author, I'm sure we could make a mod though. You mean the display when a book letter index is clicked, right?
Its nothing to do with your upgrade or instructions, just an error by me! - I 've been burning the midnight Oil, learning how to use CSS for a new site!
Midnight Oil... that was a weird band... one half-decent hit and poof! gone... I always thought it was because the lead singer (1) couldn't sing, (2) couldn't dance (just sort of jumped around spazzing), and (3) just didn't fit the shaved-dome-black-bluesman mold quite right.
Compared to other server side installs I have tried this is wonderful. 14 loaded and then I fell into the PR thread Back to work now.
Finally got a little time to play with this tonight. I have the start of my Knitting Book Store up . Still have some things I want to do with my template though... its a work in progress. Just wanted to say thanks a lot noppid for such a great script.
After all, I didn't get a chance to play with my installation any further, although I did do some reading at noppid's forum... I still owe you a translation, too, noppid...
I'll probably be back to work tomorrow evening starting to catalog the phrases into a new file that makes um variables. Then I'll make it a conditional, cut and paste it six times, and turn those of you that can help loose on it. Appreciate the help minstrel.
Funnily enough the bald guy in question, is now a member of our Federal Australian parliament http://www.petergarrett.com.au/ What a messed up country I live in
