I have seen so called "freebie sites" all over the Internet for a while now. How do they track leads. For example, i know many freebie site use affiliate programs obtained through Commision Junction. How do those sites track leads obtained from CJ and credit users with their reward?

I own a freebie site, the offers are tracked with postback. It will show on your site when the offer is credited from the affiliate network. I use networks like Revenue Universe and Instant Dollarz, they work very well for me.

When someone visits your site through CPA, you set a cookie on the visitor's computer to keep track of their actions. If there is a lead, you take the data from the cookie, process it and call a script on the CPA site letting them know you got a lead and you'd also send them the affiliate's ID and whatever else is needed.
