Nice tool, but could do with the option of adding a user set crawl delay between pages.

 

Vagrant: I did not get what you are saying? Can you explain in details please?

 

I mean the ability to control how fast YOUR SCRIPT crawls a site to get the links to generate the site map,
as it appears to be on the fast side and may be too fast for some on shared servers if those sites are using scripts to generate their content.

 

Either that or set it to a default.

The page loads slowly for me. That may be my connection though.

 

I checked it on my server pages around less than 1000 and it generated it quite fast..just need to fix the scrolling thing!)

 

what was the range of your pages?!)

 

I believe that's the point the poster is trying to raise. if a delay or limit isn't in place, you may be overloading the server and/or causing problems for other visitors.

probably needs to contact the guy who made this script. i think hes not working anymore or something! so changes are difficult to make now! but will give it a try)

Thank's Dude! there is a wordpress plugin for this I believe.

 

There is but it only makes sitemaps for what it's aware of from the data within the database. It used to also only generate data for the first page within categories and tags instead of how many you actually had but I'm hoping that got fixed.
