These are two very different, very conflicting ideas about the state of humanity, things that call our entire lives into question.

After all,if there is fate, then we are bound by what is destined to be and yet if there is free will then everything is a random happening of chance. Neither seems to be a very comforting option and both seem to totally disagree, but what if they don't?

If life was pre-determined, wouldn't it be boring?

Why would it be boring? Is it boring for you now? I guess you didn't understand what pre-determined really means. Pre-determined means that everything that will happen in your life has already been written. But that doesn't mean you will know what will happen.

    I voted "both."

In a nutshell, though I do not believe in deity, I do think there are a host of determinants that at the very least build, like a carapace, hindrances to individual latitude of choice, at minimum, and a stultifying abulia, at worst. But I also believe that in times of great upheaval, the structures limiting choice are put into flux - and the individual can rise, ascendant, beyond the historical precedent.

Mine is a historical philosophy; examples in history, when, broadly, the individual found play: The Reformation; the National Revolutions; the Industrial Revolution; the post-modern shift, after man "became conscious of himself," post-WWI and beyond existentialism into our modern, fractured world.

Well like one day i got an extra $10 when i paid my meal (THAT WAS FATE -- SHE DIDNT KNOWINGLY GIVE IT TO ME)

It was MY FREE WILL to give it back (I could have kept it and made $10 but i try and be honest)

    Its very interesting isnt it?

I believe in free will, but what most people mistake as their free will amounts to their unconcious reactions to their unresolved historical conflicts.

in many religions, people believes that God(s) know everything before it happen.
God(s) know if we want to turn left or right before we face the decision.
so, if we want to take the left turn, God(s) already know maybe long time ago before we were born.

There was a person (I forgot his name) that believe God already make a decision that either we go to hell or heaven, before we were born. So, there nothing we can do to change it.

    Is it free will?

I guess if you believe in predeterminism and the Christian idea of God, then when a person is born it has already been determined whether they will end up in heaven or hell.
