    Hi guys,

not sure if this is the right section for this but couldn't decide where else to post it, basically i'm looking for a free website monitoring tool to record the length of time a visitor stays on a given page, can this be done?

I know there are tools for recording visitors, what keywords they use to find your site etc but can you record how long a visitor stays on a page for?

Thanks in advance for any comments

    Alan :)

Google Analytics is the best for any kind of website monitoring

I agree google analytics is very useful for monitoring user behaviour on your site.
However if you wanted to check when bots are visiting and how much data is being passed than you would be better off with awstats.sourceforge.net
for best result i use both.

Are there any website monitoring tools that check page uptime, server load, etc?

both AWStats and Google Analytics are great tools , if you use a host with Cpanel you probably already have AWStats installed if not it's not that hard to install but i think AWStats result are better than Google's!

Google Analytics does not monitor server uptime like he is asking. It's a great stats tool though.
