Free Web Hosting site for sale

I am selling the following free web hosting site http://host-ed.net/

It has been live for approximately a year and 3 months. I am selling because I have not been paying enough attention to the project. Revenue has dropped due to lack of promotion and maintanence. I initially made revenue from referrals to host gator. There are 360 registered users currently on the system. The site runs on a WHM/Cpanel reseller account.

You are bidding on the full site which will include all coded pages. And ipanel lisence. I am currently transferring the forum from vbulletin to phpbb. Winning bidder will receive the customized vbulletin theme but no lisence. I will however finish integrating phpbb3 and will customize the design to resemble the rest.

the domain is a page rank 4 and highly trafficked. I will put up traffic reports upon request. I will also help the buyer transfer files to their own server. If you have any questions feel free to post or pm me.

Can you pm traffic and revenue proof? Is revenue only through hostgator?

 

Could you pm traffic details (source, etc) and all on-going costs associated with this site. i am very interested. also do you have a BIN in mind? and i have noticed links down the footer, are they paid links and is there any commitment to the buyers?

I will pm you guys with awstats screenshots. As far as revenue proof I can't because the site no longer generates revenue from hostgator. I will send out PMS as soon as I get screenshots up. Thanks for the interest

Oh and a note on the links. They were link exchanges which help generate some of the traffic but they do not need to be kept if the new owner desires not to

At the bottom of one of your pages.. Who is nett-ed and why layeredpanel not ipanel? Seems fishy.. Especially as nett-ed.com is registered to you/the same person that owns host-ed

 

Yes the site only has 20 active registrations but there are 340 registered users overal. Like I metioned before I have really stoped putting time into this project which is the reason there are such few sites that have been activated. The site runs on ipanel and not layeredpanel. I first ran it on layeredpanel but did not like the script so I switched to Ipanel. Where exactly do you see the powered by layeredpanel?

The site runs off of the domain I am selling, the nett-ed.com domain was put in the footer because that was my portfolio and I wanted it listed as a joint venture of that site. My initial plans were to build the site up and generate revenue from hosted sites but I lost interest and devoted time to other projects which is why I am selling. With someone else who gives this project the time it needs it will pick up shortly.

What adsese? I never said I generated revenue from adsense.

Again as I have explained before the reason sites don't have files is probably closely related to the fact that I have not payed enough attention to the project to keep it going which is why I am selling it. You can't register for a new account because I am currently working on integrating a new forum system since my vbulletin liscence ran out. Also registration activations are manual so even if you did register for an account it would not be activated.

Ipanel API only shows activated user's accounts, and not all registrations. I will pm you a screen shot of ipanel admin with proof of account registrations shortly

So there are 20 activated accounts and 300 registered? Please do not see this as offensive as I am interested but everything needs to be clear.

What is the point in 300 registered? I doubt very much they will still want an account if their site is not active?

No worries, it's not offensive I know you are trying to be a smart buyer and want to know the ins and outs before you commit.

To sum it up you are bidding on a page rank 4 domain complete with custom design, custom logo and traffic. The site design and logo alone cost me $200 so you can keep that in mind. The site will really boost in registrations as soon as you start managing it since it already has some good traffic. Before I took down the registration it was getting 2-3 registrations per day. If by complete system you mean the script then yes. But you have to have your own server with cpanel. I will help the buyer transfer everything.

As far as vbulletin goes I will transfer all designs to the new buyer and help them set it up if they have their own license.

The design was designed by someone else initially which I purchased and then customized. The design is unique and was unique when I purchased it, I just felt it needed a few changes.

I will come up with a BIN as soon as I get a chance at offers from people.

yeah that's something that can easily be changed on the design image. But I haven't taken the time to fix. The buyer can easily fix that

 

I received a new offer of $450. Is anyone willing to beat that? If not, I'll probably be ending this.

Also keep in mind I am willing to set up the site on the buyers server and I will even integrate the vbulletin design into phpbb if you don't want to run vbulletin.
