    I don't think I am giving away any secrets here but I assume he is offering it for free because when you outgrow it and need to upgrade he will point you towards Host Gator and make $90 :)

    Unfortunately proxies are not allowed, they are too heavy on resources. Apart from forced ads on your subdomain there are no catches. Its up to you to keep backups of your data on site.
