Free Web Building Software & Tools?

    I always get people asking me what free tools and software is best for creating and editing a website.

    I personally use paid products that are expensive so don't have much experience with the free ones.

    Can anyone recommend any?

    If you are talking about for people with little to no coding experience then GoDaddy has something call Website Tonight or something that actually offers that.

    If you have skills and you are talking about a base of software to use for creating and editing a website then I would recommend Notepad++ and some sort of FTP client.
