    "Hi guys,

Do you prefer paying for your advertisement and getting fast results or do you prefer free promotion methods that may take longer to see results from?

Whatever your preference also mention the specific methods you have found effective.

    Post Your Thoughts!"

I prefer the free method, I have only once paid for adverts using a seller from ebay and I didnt really think much of a result. I also refuse to let others have a cut from my hard word so Ill stick to the long and hard way of promoting my website.

Seo is long process so test your market with ppc, then go after those very keywords that convert.

But SEO can be down to chance..i mean if Google decides on a whim to change it alogrithms then you're FUC**D.

The most sustainable method I've found is ppc with a squeeze page!

I've usually gone the free route. I think it helps newbies be less disappointed. Because who wouldn't be disappointed if they paid lot of money for advertising with big expectations and they didn't end up getting as much back. Free takes longer but once you start making money it's 100% profit.

    Just my opinion though.

It really depends on what your product or service is. Some services need actual paid advertising to ever succeed.

it's really doesn't matter what you are using unless you are getting good amount of customers to come in.

go to alexa.com and look for top 100 websites and see how your hey can help to market your business.

here is and example: upload popular music videos to youtube.com with a water mark of your website.

post your website content on the blogs of msn, blogger and wordpress.

upload some nice wallpapers with your website as a watermark to flickr and deviantart

    Thanks to me!

This all depends on the individual and their skill level, I always say when you are starting out the best thing is to do article marketing as it will teach you quite a lot about this business. When you become good at writting you will be able to write killer content for your landing pages with PPC. Another thing, if you are new then paid methods can be very expensive even though that depends of the niche that you are in.

Write good articles and get on 1st page on google, if that article does well then maximise your profits with paid methods....my 2cents :)

I'm about my paper, so I refuse to break bread to advertise when I know a sale or traffic is not guaranteed. Free advertising has worked for me thus far and CREATIVITY is the #1 factor that has allowed me to succeed.

If you can afford paid advertising then go for it. Make use of free ads too. Free ads are FREE. I say grab opportunities for promotion. Go for the both.

I prefer free ads but i have found paid ads effective in getting quick results. Like anything, you have to use your resources effectively to get the best results.
