I think you would be better if you buy 3.0 or use V2.0

There are lot of bugs in version 2.1 which am currently using

Better you can ask them at their forums

If you are starting a directory better search for PHPLD mods in google and also there are lot of free templates for PHPLD versions

Be sure you install one of them

David (Dvduval) sent a PM to me

I am glad that owners are finally looking at it

But I would recommend PHPLD 3 version as you have site banning and spam prevention

Also I am planning to buy a new one

He was looking for FREE version, hence I think either 2.0 or 2.1 is okay.

I've no idea why do you think so but I'm using v2.1 in http://www.livelydirectory.com without any problem.

But if he wanted to use the paid version, v3.1 would be the best choice!;)

2.1 is working fine for me so far. But for management purposes, you may think using the paid version especially if you plan to get lots of free submission to your directory.

Yes, very good. I don't know about the V3.0 but I guess is even better than the 2.1 version.

V3 is nice, but I don't like the Admin when viewing on Approve links...It's a pain in the ars.have to scrool side ways and down...hope they fix that on the next version.

I'll bet you want a screen shot of the next version. :)
Yes, we have improved on the 3.1 admin design, but we are at least a month or two away from release.

Yep its good but their forums is a load of wubbish
i joined up because something wasn't working with the free install asked 1 question had to wait a year before the mod allowed it and still i cant edit the post or post a new post :( they dont reply to emails . i also couldnt view many threads that wasnt locked or if they was they didnt say so .. so i gave up on them their loss really.. oh and im not to sure about the 3v but for v2 if you want to do certain things like suggest a cat then you have to pay one of his cronnies for a mod that already has the feature in the admin panel but it dosent work :( and lastly if you want support (if you can call it that) for v3 you have to pay for it to access the forum .... why didnt they just add it on to the price of the software?

Itchy, there's nothing unusual about their pricing strategy. I get that from little guys like SmartFTP, you'll get the same from Oracle and PeopleSoft. I'm not a user but my understanding is that they've helped you via Private Messaging on their forum. Is that right?

With so many people that use phpLD, I think occasionally some threads will be missed, or your post might get flagged as spam, but you don't know me. That much I know. If you would have asked for help politely, and been persistant if there was not an answer, you would have received help. If you look through the forums on phpLD, you will see people get help every day throughout the day. We have about 200 posts per day there. It is VERY active.

Now as to your showing disrespect for phpLD on DP and calling me "dick deval", I think it is quite evident the problem is not only with me or phpLD. If you wish to apologize, and actually want to get some help, help you will get! :)
