The site is a bit plain.. especially the header area. For your adsense codes, change the border to white for better blending.
Not only change the border of your Google ads, but change the text colors as well. You seem to want to make them stand out - the opposite should be true. If they stand out, they look like ads... if they blend with your site, then they don't. People get 'ad-blind'... so you are much more likely to get revenue from them if they blend in... Add more color and flair as the others have said as well.
