Free Tv show episodes website IS it LEGAL?

hey ive recently brought a domian with 2 very popular keywords relating to watching tv shows online (almost 2million exact searches per month). and i was wondering the legal aspect of these types of sites. all the site would do is either link to a famous video site page that has the video already uploaded. or have the video embeded in a page. i dont really want a massive legal thing to deal with.

    thanks

its really simple, if you do not own, or have rights, then you already know the answer to this question...

As soon as you do not host the actual episode there is nothing illegal. The website from which you embed is to blame.

This may be true, but are you willing to invest thousands of dollars to fight a lawsuit when the papers come in?

Explain that to the Napster owners after their fines or the PirateBay owners after their prison sentences as neither hosted any illegal materials just provided links.

Having a directory makes you one further step removed from the process but certainly not immune to prosecution

just curious, wouldn't you be protected under DMCA safe harbor? I know of a few cases that were prosecuted, but only because the hosts refused to take down the infringing material. I don't know of any cases that went straight to prosecution.
