Every Internet Marketer knows the lifeline of their business is traffic. Here is a traffic technique that really works - LIST SWAPPING!!!

Here is how the technique works:

    1) Search for websites that are focused on the same niche you are in. This is very important.

    2) Contact the owner of the website and ask them if they are interested in doing a list swap. In your contact you would say something like, "I am impressed by your website. I have a list of XXXXXX people. How about me mail my list about your site and you mail your list about my site."

That's it. Very simple but very effective.

I trade with some 5000+ websites, works very well. So much so I have traffic to sell.

Are you talking about swapping lists of emails? I hope you're not emails those people with product offers and such. If you email someone promotions for a product and they didn't opt into your mailing list, it's considered spam. And thanks to the Can-Spam Act, if you're caught spamming you can face up to a $15,000 penalty for every recorded email. If you weren't aware of that, keep that in mind next time you're about to send a mass email to a bunch of people who didn't opt into your mailing list.

This is a good point. You have tomake sure that the lists are at least single opt-in (I always use double opt-in - there is no way you can be accused of spamming that way).

You need to be careful of the other lists that you are using even though they belong to someone else. If the person sends out an email with a link to YOUR website, you may also stand accused of spamming if their list was not an opt-in list.

This is why I can't understand why people take risks and mail people from purchased lsits. It's just not worth it. Build your own double opt-in email list and you'll jave nothing to worry about.

With list swaps, emails are not exchanged between the two parties. Each party sends an email to their own list promoting the other party. You should have about 500 on your list before doing a list swap, just my opinion.
