Free Tool To Check Your Affiliate Links

If you've ever had issues in the past with getting your affiliate links wrong, you'll know how important it is to test that they go to the right destination.

Redirect Detective is a free tool that allows you to do to a full visual trace on any URL redirect.

This is really useful for checking things like:

• Find out what affiliate networks people are using
• Check that your old domain correctly redirects to the new domain
• See if those bit.ly (or similar URL shorteners) links go to a legitimate place.
• See where and how many cookies are being set.

The screenshot below shows an example of just how many hops a single affiliate link can go through.

Pretty neat website.
Though, I don't think many people would actually go you your website just to paste in a link (peaople are lazy).
A solution to this might be to create chrome/firefox addons for your website to make the process easier?

I my experience, a lot of people don't like installing browser plugins/extensions.

Web based lookup tools are as popular as ever.

 

Well the Google Chrome web store is pretty active with millions of users.
What I meant was to make a plugin that enables users to check any link directly in their browser.

I know it's an old post but I run into it while searching a tool just like this that will constantly check my affiliate links.
I ended up creating it for myself and decided to make it an online service.

I don't like to make it a promotional post, but it's free for 3 affiliate link so if anyone like to check it I'd be happy to share it.
