Free templates -- where is the best ones

Hi, i'm making a simple website and I need to know where to get some great templates for it.. I just need additional stuff, hope you can direct me. thanks.

oswd.org have hundreds of open source web designs. However, if you are looking for something more professional, check out templatemonster.com

 

I would say none, most templates use too much banwidth, due to the 60 images need to create a frontpage, and the coding is no where near semantially correct, and they barely heard of css to style elements of the page.

I think that you will find that most of these are made with tableless templates and have very little amounts of images. Not only that, they are almost all CSS and XHTML valid code too.

I was not refering to an individual website or template, I simply said most use too much bandwidth and are not sematically correct, does not mean every website and template are rubbish.
