Hi, when you submit a free link, how long does the link stay in the directory. Are they lifetime links or do they expire after a certain period? Thanks Dee
Hi, Depend on approval process, because generally that types of directories who approve your site quickly having less option of long duration by my view. And that types of directories who take long time for approval will check your site quality and traffics for approval having much options of long duration. As in Dmoz for lifetime because no one can approve poor sites there, In case of 90% free directories you link appear there for limited time. Having not more idea coz i did not check it till now, but according to my experience, most of webmaster resubmit his site to free directories after some duration (6 months or one years) and in such cases i saw "already Exist" message 25% to 30% only in reputed directories like canlinks etc. This can be due to link expire in free directories or for free links ......... i am not sure i wrote above my view only. Thanks
Proove this pls! Only a few dirs. gives limited timed listing to free regular links, else the link remains life time on 95% of the available free web directories.
Most directories give out permanent links.....there are very few in my knowledge that offer limited-time links....
It depends on the directory but most directories that accept Free Links will keep them in their for the lifetime of the directory ...
They expire after certain time. You can submit a site again into that directory. For the lifetime they ask for the reciprocal link.
It depends. Each directory has its own stardard to decide whether accept a site or not. We'd better to see their guidelines before we submit our site. There is not guarantee, especially to free directory submission for list stay time or approval time.
Most of the directories will keep the free links in their database until the directories are not existed anymore. Most directory onwers will allow paid links in one year.
most free directories take a long time to be approved but once they are in the dir I think they are permanent
Yep, it all depends on the directory you are submitting to. Some don't even put you rlink on their site. It's good to check once in a while with backlink checkers to see if they have actually done what they 'promised' to do or not. Especially if you used the reciprocal link process. I know of a few that are unscrupulous and haven't posted links to those have have placed the directory's link on their pages.
some directorys give you the free link but send you an email asking you to pay for a upgrade and perminant link
It depends on the directories but most of the directories according to my knowledge gives long time link available, if your link approved in short time.
Most of the free directories keep them for lifetime IMO. Only few directories remove your free links or send you email to pay for nominal fee for regular or upgrade it for featured. DON.
Directory can submit in one day but it's approval time is not fix. One way directory link is permanet if directory domain is working.
