Free Sponsored and Premium Listing - Limited to first 25!

I just took the wraps off my directory this week after months of development and headaches...

Anyway, to celebrate, I am giving 25 free sponsored links in some of my categories. (EDIT: We just realized that when a user goes to upgrade his listing, it makes you go through the payment process. This is all fine since the listings were for $0.00 but PayPal will not let you send $0.00 to anyone so the process hits a road block. So, I had to change it to $0.01 instead of free. I sincerely apologize for the issue and hope the $0.01 does not put anyone off. I will happily refund it once it is paid if you wish)

I would like to extend the offer to the DP audience first since I find myself spending hours here and learning a ton, so this is my way of saying thanks.

The links will be sponsored links up until August 31 at which time they will become regular links.

Anyone who gives us a reciprocal link will get sponsored link status for the rest of the year.

Recipocal links are not required on my directory but as you know they are appreciated.

A couple of things:

1. As directory experts, I am curious to know what you think about the site in general and what you think about the process of adding your url. I want it to be as simple as possible.

2. If you do comment on the submission process, please go through the whole process before commenting.

3. This site is a photography related link directory with categories for non-photography related sites and directories.

For you with directories, your cats are located here.

I offer several features on the site including:

1. RSS feeds of new sites, hot sites, and editor picks.
2. Subscribing to at the cat level and changing that subscription using a user control panel (Requires registration).

Note: User registration is not required for adding links.

3. Ability to edit or change your listing at any time using the link id number and a password which is automatically assigned and sent via an email. Again, no registration is required.

4. "Get Ranked" A feature that allows your site visitors to rank your site on our site. Several options via HTML. (example: http://www.photolot.com/get_rated.php?pflag=view&id=1&submit=Submit)



5. Ability to bookmark your fav listings at the site (Registration required for this feature.)

6. A newsletter for those that wish to register for it - -WE DO NOT SPAM.

7. Search and power search.

Some people have asked how to upgrade their listing:


You will have to register and then login. Once in, click on My Listings at the very top of the page.

A list of the sites you submitted will be there. If your site is not listed, just click on the "Claim a Listing" link. You can there enter your link ID and password for the link (sent to you in an email after you submitted a link).

Once that is done, you can sponsor the cat the link is in.
