Hello all. My unhandy work I did last night. New site for ispping.com

My connection is fast enough to show results right away on the widget on the right hand side. Not sure if it will work for slow connections. Not a lot of content but then it does not really need to have much. Check that you are getting the speed you are paying for.
    Your thoughts?

I believe websites is the best place to post this. Do not want a b*tch slap by the mods. :)

It's a very simple tool and it doesn't "look" professional. But maybe it is. But I think the connection speed depends on a lot of factors such as your specific ISP, peak times, traffic of an specific webpage, etc.

Thanks for sharing. The more options we have for something, the better ;)

Thanks for the reply. There is better speed test links on the left. I did down load a script to implement but when I found the Google gadget I threw it on there. Might install the script later. Not a lot of time put in on this site yet.
    Have a good "Good Friday"

Hello and thank you for the feedback. Speed test will be approximate and depends where you are doing your test from. Every speed test link on the site will probably show a bit different speed. Doing several tests will give you an average. Even using different browsers, ie: Chrome, Firefox and IE will give different results from your computer. You can roughly determine if you are getting the speed you are paying for or not. Some ISP falsely advertise what they provide. This is a free tool to check.
