What is the best way to set this up, the old master drive is now in the machine but windows will not read it, it is not the "C" drive now, the old "C drive" is in the new machine as an "E drive" but can not be read.
I have recovered files from bad hard drives using Mepis, but not all hard drives are readable. Mepis or SimplyMepis is a Linux distro that runs completely from one CD and will not write anything to your hard drive unless you tell it to. Down load it from http://mepis.org/ burn a CD and boot from the CD Not only is SimplyMepis a great recovery tool, it is also the niecest Live CD I have seen that can also installed if you wish. Remember Linux is all about the freedom and choose and niether Mac or Microsoft offer you that.
Thanks Mushroom, I will give it a shot. Also see the thread in the programming forum I started today on IBM's support for open source PHP.
SEbasic, I did download the OpenOffice from the link you provided and it works great. It is much better than the last time I had it on my box, thanks for the suggestion and it looks like Sun Microsystems and the open source developers are going to stay in the game with this one.
Yeah, it's really excellent... I would kep my eyes open too - 2.0 will be released pretty soon I think.
First look: OpenOffice.org version 2.0 beta http://software.newsforge.com/article.pl?sid=05/02/25/209222&from=rss

Well since it is free software why not explain it a bit and if it is easy to use for non geeks Josh. Leave a link for us in your post too If I want to go on a forum that has banned me I can do it with your product even if they have my IP blocked, Right?
Yeah, although you wouldn't possibly be banned from any forums And, it doesn't work quite right with some IPB forums, not sure why. www.thevirtualbrowser.com Josh
