Okay, I want to have many backlinks, many link building. And my website is about selling electronics ( not an e-commerce site but more about getting publicity through our website in order to attract users to our store). So what are free websites to start of with? I know DMOZ, Social Media ( FB, Twitter, Pinterest). What else? Any web directory or other stuffs? Please provide as many suggestions as possible.
I would recommend you to start with professional SEO services and meanwhile read a few books. You will have a good start and then you can do the SEO on your own. Otherwise you will lose time while learning about link building.
Blog comment backlinks and there are lots of ways. The best way is to hire a SEO specialist so they can do it for you.
I would like to add some more methods of link building like social bookmarking, article submissions, directory submissions, blogs and forums comments you can surf on google for more info about the same and otherwise as per acethemaster you can hire a seo specialist for the same he will look into it.
The best free links are generally the ones that take the most time like guest posts and links from partners and people you've worked with. Other suggestions in the comments above take less work, obviously.
Dmoz is dead. It's so obsolete they've hardly touched it in years. Tons of links pointing to sites that have been shut down 10 years ago or so. Dmoz is also overloaded with thousands of requests... Worthless... Write articles and sign them. Suggest your site to other sites: if you have good articles, some would be willing to link to them, but I know... it's hard to find anyone to link for free. It will be their interest if you do have highly impressive content. Use social bookmarking tools and create a Facebook page, a Twitter account. Also create a YouTube channel, where you can use your signature. Most SM links will be NOFOLLOW, though... but the fact that they are being used and Google will see a dynamic flowing will make your site important.
