Thanks - I am really trying to find all the engines that accept free submissions and put a comprehensive list in one place! Please check back often as I find new ones...

Although some webmasters said that it's not necessary to submit your site to SE's but I try it. I think there's nothing wrong when I submit my site.

Thanks, but please remember that submitting to search engines does not increase SERPs it only makes sure you are indexed within their database. You need you make sure you have optimized your site (keywords, tags, etc.) and then build quality backlinks to help with you SERPs. Many directories (like the ones listed in my signature) help with the process of building backlinks. While they are definitely not the only source of backlinks, they are an easy place to start.
