    Why should I submit my website or blog to search engines when they can crawl and add my site automatically without my raising a finger? Useless and maybe counter productive for SEO.

    *sighs* people read what waxman said - you're getting all enthusiastic over a totally useless thing - it never costs to submit your site to a search engine, and you don't need to do it anyway - search engines FIND sites. That is their raison d'etre: they are called search engines because they search for sites on the internet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine
