    Remote Desktop Protocol which should be in every Windows XP computer. Or as Lanmonkey mentioned, VNC, but try http://www.tightvnc.com which is suppose to be more secure. Or better still use an SSH tunnelling for your VNC.

    I am trying TightVNC,

    I installed it on my PC, but where can I set up my unique username?

    I expected something like skype for example connections, but this is different.

    if you have access to a web brower check out logmein.com I prefer it to vnc. Remote desktop is ok, but less secure.

    logmein.com is not a free service. As far as I know it is free to try. I installed it on my pc, but didn't find it easy to operate.

    I am ready to pay for one, but expect something as easy as skype to operate.
