Thanks for sharing, there are also a lot of places that offer free templates to get you started that you can customize for your own site, you can find them by googling. I agree that all sites need a privacy policy, but it seems many sites overlook that important step.

To play devil's advocate: So what can happen if you don't have a privacy policy? Anyone have any specific information of a case where a webmaster was held liable for damages due to lack of a privacy policy? I don't know of any.

This is true, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Many programs like adsense require a privacy policy, If you dont have one and you tried to get a cheque from Google and they find no Privacy Policy on your site, theyll confiscate your funds.

 

I had a look at his, Mine is a more general Policy than his, It covers more things, his is a bit too specific.

If you were a host,you could use my Privacy Policy,if your a blogger you can use mine too, you can use it for pretty much any site.

With alex_d1's you can really only use it for blogs.

I don't plan on making this very big, I only really wanted to provide it as a free service to my hosting clients, and I just felt like sharing it with you guys, and Its good that some of you used it
