    No, most of the time the PR dose not drop. If the page rank comes up "suspicious" or "orange" on DigPageRank - that simply means that the site is not indexed. Once the site has a webpage up and running, google will index thus making the pagerank valid again.

    Backlinks play a major part. If a site has high PR backlinks, you will know the site will keep its page rank and not drop.

    as meener just said they should become valid once the sites homepage has been indexed and as long as the site has some backlinks the pr should not drop during the next update, if we ever have another pr update that is :)

    one thing to check for before registering is that its not redirected pr, i check this myself before posting any domains.
