Free phpBB3 Hosting

I've been working on my Free phpBB3 Hosting website lately, what do you guys think?

I really think the concept is great. You don't see many phpbb3 hosting sites out there. Overall is very good, but could maybe use a more designer approch on the main page.

 

I didn't know that phpBB was soon to be bringing out number 3! It's a great idea to get in there first - in fact if I didn't have my own hosting company I would have signed up myself today. The home page is a little plain but I think adequate.

One thing I would have done differently to entice more people to sign up would be to include some really nice templates on the demo forums just to show what can be done with phpBB and to include some posts with images and videos - show them what can be achieved.

The rather dull background is to project the content in a better light so that the contrast is achieved and people stay on the content...well, that was the idea at least!

Yes, phpBB3 is almost around the corner, and its going to really beat the competition by a huge margin! Ofcourse, the best thing about it is that its OpenSource...

 

phpbb3 looks good. I recomend you come up with a better home page to the site.

phpbb-seo.com has a static re-write mod for phpbb3. I think free-forums.org uses something similar for phpbb2

 

Oy I have a question. Is there a place in the ACP where I can upload files to it? Would be cool. You know, to get mods on it.

Yes, I'm aware of the mod and I have it on quite a few forums that I manage too. Their version for phpBB3 is not out yet I believe, in any case, adding mods right now is too early, the code for phpBB3 is not complete yet - it should be soon though...

The way it is going to be setup now would be to let you request a mod at the Support Forum and if there are sufficient votes for it, we'll install the mod for you. Part of the point in us managing your forum is to save you from the bother of installing mods and maintaining files and what not - its best left to us while you have a pleasurable experience administering your forum from the ACP(while having all the mods that you want!).

And, if you do want to know how you can show all that love, just spread the word - word of mouth, signature links, e-mail, whatever - just don't spam though!
