I don't think the numbers are accurate. Compare the search results with other reliable sources and you will see that they are way too high.

I don't quite agree. The Overture tool has always been attacked for "numbers too high". This is not quite true. I mean look closely, how do these tools come up with those numbers? WordTracker, which is one of the most popular tools around, show daily estimates, however, Overture shows or rather showed (since it stopped updating in January) previous month's search data.

To compare these two, we would need to divide Overture data by 30 first, so we could have the daily estimate.

For example, a search for the term free (which is VERY popular) on Keyword Enchanter's Overture and WordTracker based results show that Overture had 357,304 searches in January whereas WordTracker has 19,890 estimated daily searches.

Dividing 357,304 by 30 shows that Overture had 11,910 average daily searches in January. You can clearly see that this figure is LOWER than the WordTracker figure. You should also notice that this makes sense since Oveture in only reflecting search results on the Yahoo! network whereas WT is ESTIMATING search results on ALL search engines.

    Thanks for the tool!:)

In response to the above comments about how accurate these are. They may not be 100% accurate, but they give an indication of keywords which supply good traffic. These tools are very helpful, none the less.

I went to RankAlert and tried putting in a keyword on the Keyword Popularity Checker and it says there are no results. Is anyone else having this challenge? Thank you.
