When I first started online like 3 years ago I lost $1,000s throwing money into Adwords until I figured out I'd rather get targeted FREE traffic and not pay Google anything. I also didn't want to adjust my site to their crazy rules. So I just use yahoo and bing for paid traffic and Google for free organic traffic. What about you?
Personally I don't like paying for my traffic with money. I pay for it with time and effort; getting my sites to rank in the SERPs is the best way to do it because there is no real cap on how much traffic you can get and you can continuously expand your site to rank for many, many keywords.
I believe that you can get a jumpstart on traffic with paid links, but that is definitely not the way to build a site. In order to succeed, naturally generated site juice is most effective.
GOOD STUFF HERE!!! This is where we need help manage a small, random messageboard. All 3200 members over the last 2 years have come from word of mouth only. New members and traffic is slowed now steadily since word of mouthers moved on. Alexa has our .com and .net ranked seperatley and each low, 1/10. We need to get this up there. We need traffic and SEO is not working anymore. I am not 100% sold on it either. We need to talk. I know there are many things we can do here. I suggest (the only reason I dropped it) you please look at our website and suggest what you feel it needs to improve the traffic. We need someone potentially long term whose qualified with Rankings & site Traffic to help take Bastard Factory Forums to the next level. Google it , thats the best we got. Contact u$ thru email or messenger @ Thanks a million, Veronica
I have NEVER paid for traffic and i'm happy with the results that i get which may not be superb, but are consistent
I say both. I prefer ranking within Google's organic search ofcourse but for some high converting keywords the competition is simply to big to get a decent ranking. I ussually put a couple of AdWords campaigns on major websites which are earning me my biggest monthly share and focussing on campaign ROI. Google AdWords works very well for me. But it also depends on your website... is it just content or do you sell products?
I don't pay for any traffic, because it is just as easy to rank on Bing and Yahoo as it is with Google.
I would definitely prefer to put my time and effort to get traffic directly but if the monetization capability of my site is really good, I would not mind spending a few bucks to squeeze in additional traffic via adwords too! Regards, RightMan
Because I had such a bad experience before with I stay away from it. Plus all of the money I have made up to this point I haven't need it. There are plenty of more effective ways to get traffic.
I see everyone prefers FREE traffic over Paid. I feel the same way especially when it comes to Google. Don't get me wrong I pay for traffic as well but only through Media Buys and Ezine advertising for fast results.
Organic traffic surely. It needs a bit work according to your keyword and may be some money for link building workings. Thanks.
I do both paid and free traffic methods, but PPC advertising is too costly for me. I don't have thousands of dollars in advertizing budget. Have you considered banner advertising on someone's blog? That's cheaper. Google your niche + "advertise". I'm sure there are tons of blogs that already get lots of traffic where you can ad the banner to your affiliate product to. $200 a month is cheaper than $200 a day. For free reasons you can also guest post at these high traffic sites. Google your niche + "write for us". Check out Kim Roach's blog at Buzzblogger.com. She's got tons of free traffic tips that don't necessarily involve SEO. Another paid way to advertise is in Facebook Ads. Just make sure you have an image, preferably square shaped. Follow the TOS. What's great about Facebook is that you can target by demographic and interest. They never charge beyond your daily budget. It's probably cheaper to advertise by CPM then CPC.
I m believe in Organic Traffic, I am not pay money to get traffic I just spent time and effort for this
