Does anyone know of any good free ebooks they could mention which deal specifically, or have strong sections in, account optimization? I currently only use adwords for one product which has been waning in the past week or so and I would like to look into running a couple of different ads for it as well as taking on new products and doing the same method. Basically just getting to the point of exclusively having very successfully tested adgroups which yield a great ROI, I'm just looking for the best explanation of it. Thanks!
Forget e-books, especially free ones. As Bl4ckman^ made very clear, your best options are the Adwords Learning Center and the Adwords Help Center.
Newbies think that there are some *secrets* in Adwords ebooks, and they are wrong. If you think just a bit, where do the authors of those ebooks get all the information from? They've read the Help Center 100 times, learned everything, tested and wrote an ebook. Remember, there are no secrets about Adwords. Just learn using their Help Center.
There are plenty of things that the learning centre won't tell you - like how to optimise your campaign, what to try in an advert, how to construct a keyword list, how to work out the right amount to bid - in short, how to make money. Don't get me wrong - I would strongly recommend that anyone thinking about Adwords should read the Learning Centre from start to finish before they start - but I don't think that people should stop there. There are a few free guides to Adwords that pick up where Google's guides end, written by posters on here, but I think mine's quite good... http://www.epiphanysolutions.co.uk/google-adwords/google-adwords-introduction
no, there are NO secrets in adwords books, but i have read a few where i though " darnm..if i had to write one i would write it like this". there are MANY, MANY people who are new to adwords and they look for compact and good information. For a newbie and pretty much immediate i DO recommend "adwords miracle" and "beating adwords" although a PRO will not find anything revolutionary in those books. nevertheless i thought they brought many aspects to a point. Although...and thats where i am debating left and right whether i should write my own book covering this...those books are a little old, so they do NOT cover things like placement targeting.
Absolutely agree - there aren't any secrets, but there are plenty of expensive mistakes that you can make...
"compact and good information" That's what is an ebook. Some people are lazy of reading Help Center and they are looking for something easier and quicker.
