Want to replace worm & virus ridden windows? Sick of MS blue screens of death and questionable security:D Then it's time for a change!

I could bang on even more, though getting to the point is more to the point here. I have been a Linux user for 10 years now and have tried out many various Linux distros some good some not so good.

Linux has evolved very quickly too making it easier to use in most cases. However the distros I'm going to recommend to you are my personal favorites centos and scientific Linux. They are both 100% rebuilds or Red hat enterprise Linux. My reasons for using them are as follows...

    1. 7 years support + security updates

    2. 100% free! As in FREE BEER!

    3. Plenty of software available for them.

4.100% recompile of RHEL which makes them rock solid reliable.

5.Enterprise class os suitable for businesses or home users alike.

I use these distros on my hp mini netbook and on my acer laptop and they run really well. Though I must say that bleeding edge they ain't, but hey who needs all the latest whistles and bells!

Red Hat Linux is a pretty nice free OS, but I personally prefer Ubuntu for Linux.
