    Hello,

I know You will say "google it, RTFM etc." but still - I need Your opinion, experience and good advice for a free web-shop script.

I need just the basic functions.

    - possibility to change the design
    - to add product descriptions in 2-3 languages
    - to add more then 1 picture for the product.

That's it. Please give some adequate advice, gurus! Thanks!

I think Magento is the best free cart there is. It does take a lot of work to configure but it has so many features it is well worth it. I hope you have a fast connection the ftp upload is over 12,000 files. There is also lots of free modules for it

I am spending the last 6 weeks testing carts,
as for now, I think Opencart is the best
(zencart is awful in my opinion..)

Dude on your saying I installed opencart but it sucks man. No high level customization provided. Even on homepage they show "powered by openchart". Also the curreny is set at "pounds". Whereas no option to change the currency to "dollars" at all.. Bit complex I guess..

What I suggest it. goto wordpress. Install good looking themes and add "paypal" & "shopping chart" wordpress plugin. Its a good idea. I have done it. Have a look at me demo site http://pligg-testing.freehostia.com/

Try CubeCart. There is a paid for version & a free version. If you want the free one be sure to get CubeCart 3.

What I hate about fatfree mentioned above is that the payment has to go via e-junkie ! bad, very bad .....

Mk3 Theme for wordpress must be what you are looking for ..... has the SEO advantage and simplicity of wordpress ... not very powerful though ....
