Im thinking about making an online games website, just want a bit of advise from others who own an online free games website. How much money do you make per month? I don't know about earning statistics but for a tip, try sticking to original games instead of those already made scripts because recycled games will be hard to market (since people have played them before and they're already available at many other websites).
I would think the only arcade game owners are the ones that will reply that will either not have much sense or will say things to try and make you do the wrong things. What you are saying is like similar to this: I work for a big supermarket and will be going to my competitors. I will be asking what their best selling products are, and where they get them from so that we can also sell them and try and undercut them. In other words, if you get involved in a games site then you will be another one of their many competitors.
I had an arcade site, the cpc is very low for arcade sites. You can get a free script, some free scripts are as good as the paid ones. But, if you can invest, it is betterto get a custom one or atleast a paid one.
Hi, I can put up a game site with my domain, and can probably get a decent amount of traffic at the beginning. But it seems to me that that large game sites are already getting all of the traffic, and I would have very little offer that is unique, unless I pay for games. Are unique games difficult to come by and how much would it cost per game? Appreciate any advice. Rich
Ben, How much money do you make per month? It really does depends on how well you market the arcade game site, where you market ect.. Buy ads on other arcade sites, buy ads on teen sites, buy myspace bulletins ect.. Where does most of your money come from? You can monitize using google adsense, private ad sales and text links. What script do you use for making the website? there is a tonne of good ones, there is one called AJAX arcade or something, i have seen it in the content for sale section here on DP, that is a really good script, it comes with games and it is easy to run, i ran it on some of the arcade sites i sold. Are free ones good enough or is it worth investing in a good script? free ones are not bad but using a payed script allows a lot more customizable features. good luck and i hope this helps.
