Hey gang: There is a new free reciprocol link system available where you could / should be listing your site(s) and seeking link partners there: http://www.linkmetro.com I'm not affiliated with it except as a user. I've already found some great PR5 and PR6 links and lots of categories. You register, input your sites, urls and descriptions. If someone reqeusts a link to you, linksmetro sends you an email notice and same if you request a link of someone else. The system also monitors how many requests you've received and approved. It's very slick. This in no way competes with Shawn's ad coop, but rather compliments it and makes your life a lot easier. I'm going to start making the random link requests I recieve signup there first as it simply makes it easier for me to manage the entire process. The only caveat is you have to have a PR3 site minimum, and linksmetro checks that so you know that every site listed in there is a decent one who has been out of the G aging delay / sandbox. Enjoy! Hank
"linksmetro checks that so you know that every site listed in there is a decent one who has been out of the G aging delay / sandbox." How exactly can they check for this?
I guess I should have clarified. What I meant by a "decent one" is my assumption that if a site has PR, it is no longer in the aging delay of newly launched websites. Linksmetro requires a PR3, which it checks (I believe) using their own Google API. Sorry for any confusion. You can review each site yourself as they are linked inside the control panel. It's all above board. Check it out.
My pleasure. The larger it grows, just like the coop net, the better for all! If you like it, pass the word.
hmmm kinda of sucks.. they dont let you check it out without registering. it doesnt even list how many members they have. hank do you have any other info on them?
Juls: Don't worry about it - just signup. The owner is very reputable in my estimation. It looks like there's about 150 to 200 websites listed in there now. But its hard to say. Take it for a spin and try it. You have nothing to lose. Hank
PR is unimportant though. It is the overall weight of a site that makes it valueable or worthless. The overall power of a domain due to content, incoming links from the right places, navigation etc. Link places like that can work but are very very fragil. What goes up can crumble within a short period of time. Mike
Mike: Very true. I didn't mean to imply that PR is a deciding factor - not at all. However it is but one factor. In fact, I've been Google Toolbar free for over a month now and love it! As a friend said the other day "I'd trade a PR5 link from my site for a PR3 link from a tightly themed site any day". Hank
Will test out the site today !!!. I primarily use linkmarket for my reciprocal link exchanges. But the quality of link requests you get, leaves a lot to be desired.
