    Hello,
Web directories are the fraud one. I have filesearching.org site and give to many web directories but when i search on dmoz or bing or yahoo etc I can't find my site anywhere. They are just taking the email id and sell to others. I think now we have to believe only Cost web directories.

Says the person that provides a site that searches the file hosting sites that host warez.

The statements made here are getting better everyday :) lol

Even has the cheek to have adsense on the site, lol

Lol!!!!!!!! Buddy, why are you talking like this? All the directories are not fraud. May be some of us may not doing the right one as promise, BUT putting your site URL to yahoo, dmoz or bing etc. are not a joke. getting listing into the dmoz is still a issue and we're discussing everyday on it. And yahoo and bing are search engine but both of them are not indexing site as fast as compare to google. So you buddy don't be worry about it. Yes, if you'd submitted your site to any directory and the site owner is not taking any action then only you can ask to that directory owner.

I am surprised that you expect to find your site in 'dmoz' after something to a totally unrelated free (or paid) directory. How do you expect free directory owners to make money when most of the submissions are being done with software denying them money they could earn with CPM.

Most free directory owners don't sell emails but there are always bad people in any group. What prevents 'cost web directories' (I am assuming you mean paid) to take your money and then sell the email, they will also get your address and phone number with paypal.

    Free doesn't always mean fraud.

If you don't want free sites to use your email details, use a disposable email address.

Just because you have a website and submit it to directories does not mean it will be accepted. It still has to be something worth linking to.

Don't expect too much that your site will surely get approve in DMOZ. Other people wait months or years before their site got approved by DMOZ.

free is more just a fancy word to draw people's attention more than anything, at least in most cases
