I'm in the process of developing a one-page abbreviated marketing plan template that I'll be posting to one of my websites. In addition to the template, I'd like to include a sample of it filled out. So... I'd be happy to do an abbreviated marketing plan for someone here (I'd normally charge around $200 for this) for free, if they'll allow me to post it to the site as an example (I'm happy to block out their name, company name, and contact info if that makes them more comfortable). For this particular project, I'd rather work with someone whose business is offline. The reason is that I'll be putting together a few different levels of Internet marketing plan templates over the next few months that will be more tailored to online businesses (I'll do free samples for each of those that I release as well) - the site is tailored to marketing in general and not for Internet businesses, so I want to see a brick and mortar business used for this first example. PM me some details as to the business, and I'll be in touch with whoever fits the requirements and contacts me first. The template will be ready within a few days, at which point I'll put together the sample. Jenn
Well thank you, and same to your friend. I know most people here probably own online businesses rather than offline ones, so if I don't hear from someone by tomorrow afternoon, I'm going to simply offer the service to one of my past brick and mortar clients instead, and then I'll just come back here when I'm ready to move forward with the Internet marketing plan templates. Hi Jenn do you have an offline modules you work from to generate business online ? i.e. direct mail press advertising etc..... I am working for a company who want me to concentrate on offline marketing to create business to there online web development site… I have only experience really in online marketing so any tips you may have would be great Thanks Steve
There's a lot you can do offline to increase traffic online. Just a few examples would be: 1. Sponsoring offline events 2. Offline / manual press release campaigns 3. Posters / flyers / banners 4. Publishing your url on your business cards, letterhead, etc. 5. Direct mail to companies or others that might be potential clients 6. Radio/TV/Newspaper advertising (can use smaller community-oriented outlets to save money, or even college media if you want to reach a younger demographic for something) Possibilities are pretty much endless... just remember to include the url everywhere. If you're looking for good free or inexpensive ideas, including some a bit more unconventional, I'd suggest going through as much information as you can on guerrilla marketing. The official site is www.gmarketing.com, but I'd recommend the books. They're usually a great read, and you'll see a few ideas here and there that you'd probably never think up. It's great stuff. Just in case anyone's interested, I haven't posted the descriptions/instructions or sample yet, but the template itself is done, and it's at: http://www.bizammo.com/onepagemarketingplan.pdf Jenn
HI Jen... I'd appreciate it if you contact me regarding your business services. I am planning on starting a promotion campaign in January for my websites and am interested in discussing this with you. I am new to this forum so I don't know if I can put a link to them here...and not knowing, I will err on the safe side and just send you a link via e-mail. I've enjoyed reading your posts here at Digital Point, and appreciate the solid advice you give to people who have questions about promoting their sites. I look forward to talking with you about this.
I used one of jhmattern press release templates and i got good results with it. Self-promotion warning: BTW i am adding some notes i make from reading books on marketing, just short notes on my blog. The articles are under label marketing. If anyone is interested feel free to read it. /end self promotion.
