Hi guys im back with findbay.org I'd like to start by sharing the last 6 months of data from our site. 168,929 links submitted 2,347 links accepted = 87% of links rejected due to violation of rules We are a manual submit and VERY picky directory. If you violate one of the rules listed below then most likely we won't approve your directory submission. 1. No anchor text as a title. for example if your company name is "Bob's Building Co." then you can't title your link "Atlanta Contractor". However you can title your link link "Bobs Building Co - Atlanta Contractor". The REAL company name must be at the start of the anchor text. ---> allow me to expand on this. unlike Google I think sites should be titled with their title (i.e. ebay is called eBay and not free auction website). Please use the actual title of your site, if your site doesnt have a real title then keep your keyword heavy title to a minimum length. If not I will be less likely to accept the site or the title maybe drastically altered after a review of your site. 2. they are relevant to category they are in 3. Must not be PLC sites. Copyscape may be used to determine sites staying in the dir. ---> Allow me to expand here. This means if you have a site and use the content on a few other domains only add the main site. If you add the others they will be removed and I will add a nofollow tag to the main site. 4. Only add your link once. 5. They are not landing, squatting or other useless pages. We Do Allow Deep Links individual areas of a site can be added if the area of the site is able to support its own content. (i.e. a gaming new site with a wow news area at wow.gamingnewssite.com could have the wow news under our warcraft category and the normal domain under general gaming stuff). Human Edited this is a human edited directory, not a random link dump and not a site I plan to get rich by running. My goal here is to provide a good resource for finding good relevant websites. Not following the above rules and spamming my directory will get your links removed and banned from the directory. Reviewing of Links we dont gurantee a time of review, however the $1 featured link gets your link reviewed before any others when we do a review round.
please DO NOT Submit links to junk pharmacy websites, viagra, cialis, etc... they will not be approved. sorry about the captcha as well. I assume the harder people try to get listed the less spam i get. Imagine what happens when i make it easier, im already getting 140,00+ spam entries a month.
Just submitted my blog, got the Captcha first time but really had to squint. I appreciate what you're saying about spam though. I'm pretty sure that I went for the right category - a little put off that there were no other links in it though :L Thanks
