Hi, I'm trying to start up my own web design company. The problem I'm having is that I'm trying to get started alongside my day job and the lack of a daytime phone number seriously damages my prospects. The way I've been hoping to get around this is to build up enough of a portfolio that people will look past the fact that they can't ring me at a moments notice. So to the point of the post. I also offer logo design. I have three websites in my portfolio and another site in the making, but no logo work. I've booked this week off work to just do my web design stuff (i work long hours and its hard to get anything done with only three hours a night to do it) so I have a proposition. I will do a free, professional logo for someone if there's anyone out there that needs one. Including refinement and design iterations. The logo would then be that persons property, just as if they'd paid for it. Basically so I can get more examples of work online. I could post pages of my own work but people prefer it to be live on someone else's site. So as said, this would be completely free, the logo would be your complete with source file, I just have a couple of qualifiers to anyone who might want to take advantage of this offer; - The whole process has to be completed this week, preferably Friday but can stretch to Saturday. - The recipient has to agree to me saying on my site that I created the logo and possibly linking to it, though they are not required to link to or mention me. - The eventual home of the logo has to be vaguely high profile. I'm not expecting someone from Google to contact me but a bit higher than someones personal blog. - If you accept the final design, it has to go live somewhere. I will not be offended if, having got to the final design you decide it's not good enough. But if you say it is, and take it, it has to end up online. - Any changes or tweaks after the final design has been received would be outside of this offer and treated like normal order. So thats that. Anyone interested, look at my site (link in the sig) and send me an email with something like "Digital Point Forum Offer" in the subject and information about what you want in the logo and a link to the site it's for/going on. I haven't put the email directly on here as I think it's important anyone who might like to get a logo from me, see the site and what I'm about first. Free or not, there's no point in getting a logo you don't like. Assuming I don't, by some freak of nature, get inundated with emails from this, I'll try to respond to anyone who inquires whether or not I'm doing the logo for them.
