    I'm not going to argue that they suck. Perhaps they do, but will they still suck a few years from now? All Premium LLLL.NETs are gone now and so are most of the pronouncables. Some people argue that LLLL.NETs might be facing a buyout in the next few years.

    People buy these as an investment. Once all the llll.COMs were gone their price shot up pretty high (compared to reg fee). People who buy llll.NETs are hoping for an LLLL.NET buy out so that the domains they hold can go up in value and they can flip them for a profit.

    I use a php script that throws together random llll combinations and check their availability. Some people who have more methodical ways of scanning have reported a little while ago that all premiums have been snatched up, but I think plenty of premiums still drop every day.

    The values of these domains are just the short name. If I am looking for a domain name, I would choose the descriptive domain name. :D
